Terms and conditions

Last updated May 21, 2026. These terms apply to anyone booking, walking in for, or otherwise using services at Ink House Tattoo Studio. Full document covers booking, deposits, age requirements, aftercare, liability, and contact.

The studio

Ink House Tattoo Inc., operating as Ink House Tattoo Studio, is owned by Kyra Torres in Langley, British Columbia. Contact us at (778) 554-9191.

Booking and consultations

Consultations are free, in-person, and approximately 30 minutes. The deposit starts at $50 by e-transfer, scaling up to $250 for larger projects depending on size. The deposit applies to your session cost. We reply to intake form submissions within 1 to 2 days with a date and time for the consultation.

Cancellations and reschedules

We require 48 or more hours notice to reschedule your appointment. Cancellation, no-show, or excessive lateness can result in the loss of your deposit. Repeat no-shows may pause future booking with the artist.

Pricing and payment

Rates vary by artist: $180 per hour standard rate for most artists, $1800 per session minimum (six hours) for Kyra on large-scale projects only, $80 per hour for Sak (our junior artist), and a $130 minimum for any piece under 30 minutes. Final payment is taken at the end of the session by cash, debit, or credit card. Deposits are by e-transfer only.

Age requirement

You must be 18 or older to be tattooed at Ink House without parental consent. We tattoo 16 and 17 year olds with parental consent and a legal guardian present, with selective artists only. Government-issued photo ID is required at the consultation.

Health and consent

You will be asked to sign a waiver before your session begins, covering health disclosures, the permanent nature of tattoos, and the procedure itself. Disclose any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or skin conditions that may affect tattooing. We may decline service if a condition makes tattooing unsafe. We do not tattoo anyone who is intoxicated or impaired. We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason that protects the health of the client, the artist, or the studio.

Artist discretion

Our artists reserve the right to decline a project at any time if the client and artist relationship is not a suitable fit, or if the project does not align with the artist's style or professional interest. We appreciate your understanding and respect for our artists' creative boundaries.

Aftercare

Your artist will provide written and verbal aftercare instructions before you leave. Following them is your responsibility. Touch-ups within two months of the original session are free. Touch-ups outside that window, or design changes, are billed at the standard hourly rate due to natural aging.

Photography and portfolio

We may photograph completed work for the studio portfolio, social media, and marketing. You can opt out at your consultation. We will never photograph you in a way that identifies you without consent, and we never share images that identify you without permission.

Liability

Tattoos are permanent. The healing process, retention of ink, and final appearance can vary based on factors outside our control, including skin type, aftercare, sun exposure, and lifestyle. We take every reasonable step to apply tattoos safely and to standard. Beyond that reasonable care, Ink House Tattoo Studio and our artists are not liable for healing outcomes, ink retention, or changes that occur over time.

Walk-ins

Walk-ins are accepted at the discretion of the artist on shift. Availability varies by day and artist. Kyra and Trueno are by booking only. Most other artists welcome walk-ins.

Intellectual property

Tattoo designs, flash sheets, and portfolios are the intellectual property of the individual artists. Custom designs created for you are licensed for use as a tattoo on your body only.
